Alliteration

Definition
To continue with the emphasis on
Figurative Language: alliteration.
Alliteration is defined as: "the
occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely
connected words".
This type of writing is often
used in poetry but can be woven into your story.
At this time, using Google, I
have not found a list of examples that is sufficient to illustrate this type of
writing. In time, I mean to show this further.
Examples
A possible example: The shimmering swords sang in the sunlight
Since this example does not "compare" anything, I am inclined to think that this is a writing device rather than figurative language.
